i use to hate love dramas and movies when i was a kid.. found out most of the film is about love.. and it always deal with something stupid and it drags too long.. start to enjoy somes in secondary sch.. during that time.. there's this jap and korean wave.. but i am a stubborn guy, who hate trend.. i hate seeing those young ppl mad about stupid boring love movies(my perception that time).. which is like those taiwan drama now.. so i didn see any kor and jap love film during that time..
anyway i finally see this 2 famous love mov.. my sassy girl,2001 and Crying Out Love, In The Center Of the World,2004 ... both turns out not bad.. i can see why there were the hits.. sassy girl plot were not predictable as those current korean movs.. and nice cinematrography.. oth turns out not bad.. i can see why there were the hits.. sassy girl plot were not predictable as those current korean movs.. and nice cinematrography.. recently, theres not much surprise for us watching movies.. most of us will knows alot about the movie ,before even watching it.. by those trailers.. newspaper.. and even read those synopsis in wiki.. some may not read.. but u could hv alredy known wats its about.. we may be influenced by the words or even comments by friends..
i am starting to feel bored with it, i want surprises! .. start from now. .. i will try ask less and read less or hopefully ask nothing before watching a movie..

jz watch tokyo godfathers.. and it nice.. it makes me wanting to compile some moviess that i like.. i like watching movies about jorney or life.. mayb its because that i could related with it.. or see others' life.. compare to my simple dullish life..(p.s- not those dramatic hk/tw drama life!).. some movs with diff culture.. some movs about going,wandering,travelling to different places.. some movs with nice setting..

diversities

recently i hv been thinking about the benefit of diversity.. a country like Uk or NY or W+k were places rich with culture and experts around the globe.. Uk was my favourite country to further my studies.. its not bc of the premier league, its bc of their diversities.. and also their richness in culture.. compare to aus or sing which is still relatively new in their culture(i guess).. and again i try to find out the style or culture in mly.. theres lot of arguments btw designers.. so said we should protect or find our culture.. some said there hv try, and its wasting time.. no style is our style.. and ppl who is thinking identities or style for malaysia is childish.. i am one of the.. afterall its a job and a duty of a designer.. malaysia could be consider as diversity too.. we hv 3 main races and also ethnic groups.. thus there should be more focus on the cultures of our specialty.. and i do believe mly is much more, then what foreigner see us in those tourism malaysia ad..

thxs good, recently.. i saw a profile in flickr.. its about a photographer which shoots special culture or things in a country.. i found several pages of pic in mly.. and i start to sees all the difference and special parts in malaysia.. for exm.. the colorful plastics utensil use in mly restaurant.. rinsing the utensils in hot water.. the fish tank in jalan xx (which i went to there alot during primary school) .. the comments even amazed me.. one comment was "I love seeing how people who live in countries less luxurious than the US find ways like this to innovate and make use of the available materials that surround them. "

i am not sure whether he is a mlysian or a regular traveller.. but i am sure that during his travel he discover alot.. the prob to most ppl who live in the cities or their own hometown is.. there are numbed by their own culture.. and thus there dont discover nething special.. everything in the other side of the moon is rounder(i think i wrote wrong.).. most ppl will understand their country/culture more.. when there are oversea.. where there can compare the differences..
as my conclusion.. a designer or anyone who is mindful enough to every small details, things, culture will be succesfull.. and i only just amzed by those stories.. or poem.. what there see or imagine is really different with the others..
i luv my country and culture.. so.
not till i think i understand my own country or culture enough.. i dont think i will study abroad..

when i 1st found out w+k i was amazed by the style and senses or the designer in there.. unlike big agency round the world.. w+k designer were active in music and also their own designs.. and not to mention the diversities in the com.. and also the rebranding of coca cola!

**18.9.2008** guys this is my 1st long article and after reading it throught again, i hv found out that there's lots of conflicts there.. i guess i should use the word "observation" to simplify it..

Recently i hv read a book which is something about blind spots in life..
so wat's i want to said in the article above is.. most of us is blinded and unknown to the value or benefits of living in a multi cultural country.. we should treasure it.. unblind and observe more.. and i am learning too..

lastly there's another article bout this too by my friend mr tang wei jie .. haha.. wat he said is really true youngster(me too) are blinded by everything new oversea.. so cant treasure and even despise our culture and stuff.. if u haven read those things above.. jz read his post.. its more precise and fun!

Ltat send me this site , about a polaroid photographer.. who start to talk photo everyday for 18 years till he die.. the post said that u can see a young jamie start taking pictures till meeting his partnes.. borning his child.. and see the times he suffer in the hospital.. theres also an analysis by a blogger .. it shows that in some period of time he was shotting pictures of streets.. while in some time later he shoots pictures with more ppl in it.. and it shows that his life was not so lonely as be4.. and in the last few pictures.. showing him in the hospital.. talking pictures with his family with people who cares him.. and also friends playing guitar accompanying him... while the last picture shows that a blur motionless jamie lying of bed..

7.6.2008 klcc- i am goin to start this composition learning project.. those images were taken in klcc.. and just collage it.. no any meaning in it. just composition experimenting..

F&n freestylz

submition for F&n freestylz .it turns out as not wat i expect.. only 50 percent as wat i think.. the color was not as wat i want..
can2 - almost gave up on it.. and this 1 was much more diff then i expect! damn.. i found out that my strokes and compostision is still really poor.. and color.. need to improve more on it.

Tenaga national , 3-1, failedPublic Bank, 3-2, resittired of Ci.. CI in d.. is more focus in management more then design.. we hv to fork out bout 150 pgs for it.. yea its ok for me, we can learn from it too.. but i wont manage it if i failed again.. rm150 for resit is really worth this time. i get to learn alot. and luckily pass. i would do another few CI soon, this time will be more special, and no bouldaries unlike above which was control by by lec alot..

wkw fever

recently just watch Chung king Express 重慶 森林 , and again it amaze me! i like the story telling type of mov by wkw, the cam angle, the songs.. everthing.. by looking at his mov you will know hows a special person wkw is.. his unique taste, his experince in life.. the mov was in 94, but till now it dosen looks like an old film. and yeah he has see it at that time.. where most ppl still cant accept his style of mov.. the song in the mov was memorable.. i like california life.. "things in life" when in the bar.. and also the romantic song when tony was with his Flight attendant gf.. and yeah after this mov when ppl think of valerie chow there cant forget she was a Flight attendant..

after watching chung king i wiki and youtube wkw film.. and watch wkw bmw short film.. i had watch other director's bmw film be4.. ang lee's story bout a tibet monk is not bad too.. but i guess wkw's had more feelings.. maybe with the song.. and his style.. too bad the cinematrogapher was not chistopher doyle.. it could be unexpected.. but the scene is this mov also not bad..
still got my blueberry nites to go! hv to watch again and digest it be4 go on. thxs jyne for the mov

style learning- gradient - robin hood
